Before the internet was as powerful as today with lightning fast speeds, we had LAN parties. Players took their machines and connected it to a modem and spent weekends pwning each other. One of the most famous pics of the era, which no doubt many of you must have seen, is that of the Duct-taped gamer.
In the legendary internet photo, we can see one of the players duct-taped to the ceiling to make room while playing Counter-Strike. The photograph has mostly remained a mystery. Until now; all of our questions will be answered thanks to a documentary titled Internet Legends: Duct-taped gamer. The documentary is being made by Tyler Knowles.
The trailer for the documentary was released yesterday and promises to answer all the questions. It will feature Drew Purvis, the Duct-taped gamer himself and the photographer Brian Schaeffer.
The trailer starts off with the voice lines from Counter-Strike and then a dramatic monologue from Star Wars voiced by Mark Hamill. The trailer also shows someone doing an in depth analysis of the photograph on a giant TV screen. I believe it will be more comical than an actual analysis.
The original photograph was clicked in 2003. Many believe that the documentary will release on March 29th, which is when the photograph was clicked.
