Facebook introduced a new voice-calling app for Android phones, the announcement came after WhatsApp messaging service introduced voice-calling for iOS devices.
Christened “Hello”, the app gives people more information about who is calling them. Being merged with Facebook, Hello users can see information about their callers’ identity even if they don’t have them stored as a contact.
Hello, is currently available Android Google Play store as a free download, replaces the Android interface dialer with a more Facebook-centric user interface. The main features are: it uses Facebook to recognize callers so you know who’s calling,; it will allow you to avoid unwanted callers by blocking them from calling you ; and also houses a effective search feature that helps you for finding the numbers of local businesses.
The Hello app features free calling over Wi-Fi using VoIP, the feature, which has long been a part of Facebook Messenger. The app also gives you the option of replying using Messenger if you have missed a call.
