A new island to replace the devastated one, Lego-themed skins, and boss battles featuring a new cast of licensed characters—including the ripped Peter Griffin from Family Guy and Snake from Metal Gear Solid—are all arriving with the new season.

Chapter 5 Details

The new island has many biomes to explore. Ritzy Riviera Marina is located to the west in the Chaparral Biome. Head northwest to the abandoned Rebel's Roost in the boreal forest. The grassy area in the middle of the island offers a nice view to train passengers on their way to the big Reckless Railways station. To the east, you'll find the Boreal Tundra and Boreal Snow habitats, home to Hazy Hillside Village and the Grand Glacier Hotel.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Gameplay

In the first half of the season, snow covers more than just boreal snow life. In honor of Winterfest 2023, boreal forests and northern tundras are also covered in snow. A new vehicle, the SUV Grandeur Trailsmasher, allows you to explore the island as you wish. Also included is a weapon with a ballistic shield, transformable weapons, customizable vehicles, and in-game cosmetics. Rocket League players may also see some items moved.

The new chapter introduces five main characters on the island, one of which is Peter Griffin. Players can earn a medal when they win, which allows them to recover their shield over time. However, it also has a downside, as holding the medallion lets other players know your location on the map.

The number of medals determines the radius of your exact location. As a result of their ongoing partnership, Epic announced an upcoming in-game experience called Lego Fortnite. The game is a "survival creation" game that will be released on Fortnite on December 7th.

As part of the collaboration, most existing Fortnite skins include a Lego-style option that features characters like Peely the Banana in Lego bricks. Epic has confirmed that players will be able to choose from over 1,200 skins. However, these styles are only available in Fortnite's Lego experiences.
