Garena Free Fire got an update on July 10 in India and many other countries. The update size was around 137MB on the android version of the game. The update 0.15.0 of Garena Free Fire brought the much wanted Purgatory map back on ranked mode. Players of the game have been asking for the Purgatory map to be brought back for ranked mode instead of Kalahari map and it looks like Garena Free Fire has listened to its user base. On the Facebook page of the game the announcement was made public about the new update bringing back the Purgatory map for ranked mode. Click here for our guide on Purgatory map.

The update will not exclusively bring the Purgatory map for ranked matches but all three maps together. Starting from July 10 any ranked match will get the map randomly. Players will click on the start match in ranked mode and get one of three maps randomly to play. This move is probably done to reduce the stress on the servers as a lot of new players are moving to Free Fire from many south asian countries. Currently PUBG Mobile is banned in Pakistan so many players from Pakistan are moving to Garena Free Fire as well. In India a lot of players have been moving to Free Fire from PUBG Mobile since the Boycott China movement started in India. In Bangladesh Free Fire has been dominating the Battle Royal segment since a lot of people have budget smartphones that can’t handle PUBG.

On the Facebook post Garena Free Fire also reminded the Indian users that they are #IndiaKaBattleRoyale. Garena Free Fire has been making an aggressive push in India with TV advertisements and youtube videos. Since the government banned Chinese apps in India a lot of players have moved to Garena Free Fire since Garena is based in Singapore. Free Fire is one of the most popular games in south american countries and now it seems in the south asian countries as well.
