Game developers have been banking on nostalgia for the past couple of years. Now, a mobile game studio has jumped on the bandwagon. Gameloft, one of the top studios in the category, has re-released classic mobile games for android phones.
The games will be available through a single app called the Gameloft Classics on the app store and has 30 games from the past 20 years.
We're celebrating our 20th anniversary today with Gameloft Classics, a free Android app with 30 of our most iconic mobile games! It's our way of saying thank you to our players; we wouldn't have gotten this far without you.

Back then, mobile games were very different, to say the least. Apart from the 2D art, even the controls were vastly different, given the fact that touch screens were basically non existent back then. The re-releases have been streamlined for touch screens when it comes to controls and do an arguably better job than the cloned games available elsewhere. The app also has no timers or in game purchases and there are no ads either. Moreover, all the games are available for free.
