Google's latest audio feature

Google also introduced Audio Magic Eraser, which allows you to reduce annoying sounds in a video, such as howling wind or noisy crowds. "This first-of-its-kind computer audio feature uses advanced machine learning models to sort sounds into separate layers so you can control their level," Google said. You'll also find Photo Unblur and Macro Focus. The Pro model also gets the new Pro Controls feature, which the standard model lacks.

Screen: The Google Pixel 8 has a small 6.2-inch 120Hz OLED screen with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits and Gorilla Glass Victus. This should come as a relief to fans who want a compact phone.

Processor: The Pixel 8 features Google's next-generation flagship Tensor G3 chipset paired with the latest UFS 4.0 storage for fast file access.

Camera: The Pixel 8 has a 50-megapixel Octa-PD primary camera with 8x Super-Res digital zoom and a 12-megapixel sensor with autofocus and macro functions. On the front, there is a 10.5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Under the hood of the new Pixel 8 is a 4,575mAh battery that supports 27W cable fast charging. Following the company's recent trend, Google has also added support for 18W wireless charging without a charger included in the retail box.

Display: The Pixel 8 Pro has a 6.7-inch QHD 120Hz LTPO OLED display with a maximum brightness of 2,400 nits and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on top.

Camera: There is a 10.5-megapixel selfie camera on the front. There are three camera sensors on the back of the phone, including a 50-megapixel phase-detect autofocus wide-angle camera with OIS, a new 48-megapixel Quad-PD ultra-wide sensor, and a 48-megapixel quad-PD 5x zoom camera with up to 30X Super-Res digital zoom. The phone has a glass and metal design similar to last year's Pixel 7 Pro.

Battery: Under the hood of the Pixel 8 Pro, you'll find the same Google Tensor G3 SoC. Under the hood is a 5050mAh battery with 30W wired charging and 23W wireless charging support.

The charger is not included in the sales package. Other notable features may include a Titan security chip, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a temperature monitoring sensor, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner.

The latest additions to the New 8 series

The latest addition to the Pixel 8 Pro's features is a separate skin temperature sensor placed next to the device's cameras. This unique sensor, known as the Melexis MLX90632 device, performs one function: measuring temperature. Unlike some other phone sensors, it is not designed for innovative photo enhancements, focusing only on accurate readings of temperature data.

Google has added several Pixel-exclusive features to the new version. It has a Best Take feature that allows you to create a composite image from a series of photos. Google Photos also has a Magic Editor, which uses generative AI to help you position and resize objects. For the first time, Google is offering seven years of software support for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, including OS updates, security updates, and regular features. The new Google Pixel 8 phones come with a free Google One VPN.

The new Pixel 8 series also has IP68 resistance to water and dust. You'll also find features like a fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro Released: Price in India, Offers

The Pixel 8 starts at Rs 75,999, while the Pixel 8 Pro will set you back Rs 1,06,999. Both devices are available for purchase through Flipkart. The pre-order window is now open, and people can buy the phones. As for the sales, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, and Axis Bank cards have a discount offer of Rs 8,000 on the regular model. Professional buyers can claim a discount of Rs 9,000.
