In its continued effort to advance artificial intelligence, Google has introduced a number of generative AI features for several Workspace apps, including Google Docs, Gmail, Sheets, and Slides.

The company wrote on its blog that Workspace users could now "harness the power of generative AI to create, connect, and collaborate like never before.

In addition, it stated that trusted testers will have access to the initial set of AI-powered writing tools in Gmail and Docs in the coming weeks. In the beginning, the AI capabilities will only be available in English in the United States.

"From there, we'll iterate and refine the experiences before making them more widely available to consumers, small businesses, enterprises, and educational institutions in more countries and languages," the organization stated.

The new AI-based features of Microsoft Bing, including a chat feature that lets users ask questions and get consolidated answers based on online searches, are still being tested. Users can type in a topic they want to write about in Gmail and Google Docs, similar to how we write in ChatGPT and AI-powered Bing, and an instant draft will be generated.

The chat feature, on the other hand, has taken center stage throughout the new Bing search. The company asserts that users can also modify the message or change its tone.

Users will be capable of:

• Draft, reply, summarize, and prioritize Gmail Come up with ideas, write, edit, and rewrite in Docs.
• In Slides, imaginative visions are brought to life through auto-generated images, audio, and video.
• With Sheets' auto-completion, formula generation, and contextual categorization, you can move from raw data to insights and analysis.

It was mentioned that AI is susceptible to error and frequently requires guidance.

"We are designing our products in accordance with Google's AI principles, which allow AI to make suggestions that you can accept, modify, or reject." We are keeping all of this in mind.
