Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL has been launched in India at Rs 39,999 and Rs 44,999 respectively. The search giant announced the cheap versions of its flagship Pixel series at its annual I/O conference.

Coming in just black, clearly white, purple-ish colours, both the smartphones will be available for purchase in India starting May 15 onwards. Google has designed the Pixel 3a to fit nicely in your hand, and comes with an OLED display.

The Pixel 3a features a 5.6-inch OLED display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, 12.2MP rear camera, 8MP front camera and a 3,000 mAh battery. The main difference between the 3a and 3a XL is in screen size and battery size. The Pixel 3a XL sports a 6-inch display and large 3,700mAh battery.

The 3a and 3a XL uses Google’s HDR+ technology with features like portrait mode, super res zoom, and night sight to capture clear shots in low light. Both the smartphones offer free, high quality, unlimited storage on Google Photos.

Consumers can squeeze the new Pixel devices to bring Google Assistant to life to send texts, get directions and set reminders, by simply using their voice. Additionally, the Call Screen feature (available only in English in the US and Canada) gives you information about the caller before you pick up, and shields you from those annoying robocalls.

The smartphones come with three years of security and operating system updates. These devices come with Titan M chip to help protect your most sensitive data.

Google also announced that the Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL and the entire Pixel portfolio will get a preview of AR in Google Maps, meaning you can see walking directions overlaid on the world itself, rather than looking at a blue dot on a map. The smartphones will also get a time lapse feature soon.
