Graebert GmbH has been in the business of developing CAD software, solutions and services since the last 30 years. Its DWG format based CAD systems were among the first to run on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Graebert is now focusing on extending CAD technologies to mobile devices that run on both Android and iOS. The company’s product portfolio is anchored by the ARES trinity of CAD software, which represent a nifty suite of DWG-based CAD software for desktop, mobile and cloud. Using these developers can create standalone CAD applications. The three solutions are bundled together under a unique subscription model so that end users can take advantage of each platform with similar features and different use cases.

The India operations of Graebert are headquartered out of Noida. It constitutes one of the three development centers of Graebert and has over 50 employees. Ingram is the national distributor for Graebert products in India.

Let’s look at the latest enhancements to the ARES suite of CAD applications.

ARES Touch: Extending CAD applications to mobile devices

With more than 150 CAD features, ARES Touch is a usefule Mobile CAD solution currently available for Android and iOS. Fully integrated with ARES Commander and ARES Kudo, ARES Touch lets you read, annotate, create and modify DWG drawings on the go. It makes no compromises in features to create or modify 2D drawings in DWG. The key features of ARES Touch include the ability to annotate drawings with pictures taken on site or by recording your voice. The new FREESKETCH command offers an intuitive way to redline or comment drawings with your fingers like a pen on paper.

ARES Kudo: Extend the agility of Cloud to ARES Commander and ARES Touch

ARES Kudo is a cloud-based CAD solution for DWG viewing and editing. It runs in your Internet browser via a simple URL. ARES Kudo connects to all your cloud storages such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, as well as Onshape or Trimble Connect. ARES Kudo behaves like the hub for all your DWG files: your DWG files follow you on any device, anywhere, without the hassles of installs or updates.

ARES Kudo is also fully integrated with ARES Commander and ARES Touch. Any modification you make on one device is instantly synchronized on all your devices and with all the contacts with whom you are sharing this project. You can start a project with ARES Commander, ARES Touch or ARES Kudo and continue it on other devices. ARES Kudo will make sure your files follow you and are always up-to-date.

ARES Kudo is also capable to generate a view-only link that you can share with your contacts. This sharing feature allows them to see your file online for free inside ARES Kudo’s viewer. Besides, when they will open this URL they will always see the latest state of your project and you can cut access at any time.

ARES Kudo is also included in the subscription of ARES Commander as part of Graebert’s Trinity of CAD software.

The Graebert ARES CAD software suite costs Rs 60,000 + GST per license while the network license costs Rs 80,000 + GST per client. The mobile and cloud versions are included as part of the package. The yearly subscription cost is 20% of the prevailing price for the software license.
