The Halo TV series has been in works for quite some time now. It was first announced in 2013 and landed into production hell. Things started to look better for the adaptation of the series based on the blockbuster Video Game in 2018, when first of its cast was announced.

Showtime announced today with a picture of the whole cast that the show has finally gone into production, with table reads complete. Three new cast members and characters were also announced for the Halo TV series, as reported by Variety.
The first one is Charlie Murphy, who will play an orphaned human named Makee who shares the contempt for the human race with the covenant. Murphy plays Jessie Eden on Peaky Blinders and is also known for her role in Misfits.
The second new addition is Danny Sapani who will play Captain Jacob Keyes, captain of the Pillar of Autumn in Halo: Combat Evolved. Sapani has appeared in shows such as The Crown and Dr. Who.
The third addition is Olive Gray Dr. Miranda Keyes who is Jacob Keyes’ daughter. She has appeared in in Home From Home, Eastenders and more.
The Halo TV Series is slated for debut in 2021.
