HP Omen Transcend 14 Challenges Gaming Laptop Norms: Details

At the present Consumer Electronics Show (CES), HP introduced the HP Omen Transcend 14 laptop and a series of notebooks. The latest 14-inch Omen series gaming laptop from HP has been released alongside the HP Omen Transcend 16, Omen 16, and Victus 16.1. HP says the Omen Transcend 14 is the world's most excellent and lightest 14-inch laptop. The gaming laptop includes an OLED display, local AI capabilities, and an RGB backlit keyboard. The Omen Transcend 14 laptop is available in two colours and is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra chipsets.

HP Omen Transcend 14 Price and Availability

The HP Omen Transcend 14 is available for pre-order on the HP website, with a starting price of $1,499.99 (approximately Rs. 1,24,510) for the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H model. On the other hand, the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H model costs $2,249.99 (around Rs. 1,86,772). The gaming laptop will also be available on BestBuy.com in the United States. HP has yet to declare a launch date for the Indian market. The Omen Transcend 14 is available in both Shadow Black and Ceramic White colours.

HP Omen Transcend 14 Specifications

The HP Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop runs Windows 11 Home and is powered by a 5.1GHz Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU with 16 cores and 22 threads, up to 32GB LPDDR5x RAM, and up to 2TB SSD storage.

The HP Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop features a 14-inch 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 400 nits. The HP Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop includes integrated Intel Arc graphics and a separate Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU. In contrast, the Core Ultra 7 model consists of an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 series GPU, 16 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of SSD storage.

HP's Omen-series laptop has a 6-cell, 71Wh battery that charges via a 140W USB Type-C power converter. HP says the laptop can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes using rapid charging technology. The computer is said to have a battery life of 8+ hours when fully charged.

The laptop's connectivity choices are Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The Omen Transcend 14 also includes one Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C connector for power transmission, one USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack. The HP Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop also includes an HP True Vision 1080p webcam with integrated dual-array digital microphones, dual speakers, and an IR heat sensor. Additionally, customers will receive a one-month free trial of Xbox Game Pass. The Omen Transcend 14 laptop measures 12.32 x 9.19 x 0.67 inches and weighs about 1.75 kilograms.
