iQOO Z8’s Google Play Console Listings Reveals iQOO Z8 Global Launch

The iQOO Z8 appears to be making its way to the international market after making its debut in China a few weeks ago. On the Google Play Console, the gadget has been discovered.

The iQOO phone's presence on Google Play Console indicates that a worldwide edition is in the works, as the Chinese version lacks Google Mobile Services. Before they are declared suitable for launch, Android smartphones are tested on this console for app compatibility.

iQOO Z8 Specifications (Expected)

The iQOO Z8 listing on the Google Play Console confirms some of its expected specifications. The model number of the device in question is PD2314. iQOO usually uses a model number starting with PD  for the Chinese market. Therefore, it cannot be said for sure if it is indeed a model intended for the world market.

Display: The listing shows that the iQOO Z8 has a resolution of 1080 × 2388 and a pixel density of 480 PPI. The Chinese version stretches up to 6.64 inches diagonally, is IPS LCD in nature, and has a 120Hz refresh rate.

Software: Listed is the Android 13 software that the device had at the time of testing. The Chinese model was released with the Android 13-based OriginOS 13 skin. However, a custom skin for foreign markets could be FuntouchOS.

Processor: The iQOO Z8 listing reveals that it is a MediaTek chip with a main Cortex A78 core (3.1GHz), 3 x Cortex A78 performance cores (3.0GHz) and 4 x Cortex A55 power cores (2.0GHz). That would be the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC.

Memory: The tested device has 12 GB of RAM. The Chinese version also has an 8GB variant and the storage can be 128GB, 256GB or 512GB.

Camera: The iQOO Z8 could consist of a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS and a 2-megapixel depth sensor module. The selfie snapper could have a 16-megapixel sensor.

Battery: The iQOO Z8 packs a 5000mAh battery with 120W charging speed. Other features may include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, and a side fingerprint sensor.

iQOO Z8 Price (Expected)

In China, the price of the iQOO Z8 started at RMB 1,699 (around RMB 19,300) and in India it could be launched at around RMB 21,000. But since the iQOO Z7 Pro was launched in the country only recently, the iQOO Z8 (which may come in a similar price range) is expected to launch a little later.
