Jio Effect! And a comparison of some mobile data plans on offer

by October 20, 2016 0 comments

When Reliance Jio launched its service, consumers grabbed it, as it is free till December. They stood in ques to not just get a new SIM for data and voice – It felt more like they were getting gold without paying even a single penny (the last reported figure was that Reliance Jio had sold 16 Million connections). Internet data has become part of our daily lives and everyone is looking for cheaper plans. But they don’t want to compromise on service.

Most people seem satisfied with their current service provider. Yet they continue to look for cheaper data plans, and Jio began this price play. We have all witnessed Jio’s rapid adoption over the past few weeks.

Though the ultimate beneficiary would be the consumer, yet it’s always a wise choice to compare plans of different service providers and their benefits before you opt for one. Another important factor that must be considered is service. No doubt Jio is offering cheap data plans but from what we hear from users, the experience hasn’t been exciting. People who bought it in the early stage were happy with their speed and service. However service issues seem to have begun and users buying it now are complaining about voice calls and the data experience too does not seem to be better than other service providers.

Ultimately the winner will be the one who provides good quality of service at a great price point. Until then to help you to find cheap yet the best offer here is a comparison of some of the service providers and their plans in Delhi/NCR region.

We are getting varied opinions on service quality from our readers for all the operators. Some service providers seem to be doing great in some regions but aren’t able to offer the same quality in others. It would, therefore, be great if you readers could share your experiences with service quality in the comments box below. Do remember to share the name of the provider you are using, your region and your specific experience with the quality.

Look forward to hearing from you.
