Karbonn Titanium S1 Plus

The market is flooded with several smartphones in the entry-level segment, but Karbonn has its own reputation among buyers. The Titanium S1 Plus smartphone is smaller than other available devices in the segment, yet it is an attractive device. The bright 4-inch display with 480X800 pixels resolution offers a decent viewing experience with loud and clear sound.

Titanium S1 Plus boasts 1.2 GHz quad core processor and has 1 GB of RAM for seamless performance. It runs smoothly and rarely lags while playing games and doing multitasking, yet it’s not really meant for gaming-freaks. Heavy apps and games can make it a slow-performer. The device has 4 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card.

The 5 MP rear camera produces pleasant images in daylight. It has an LED flash at the rear that allows to capture memories even in low light condition, but attracts noise. Capturing video with the camera is not so pleasing. The front VGA camera is decent to capture images in daylight. The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean powered device packs 1500 mAh battery that can last for 9 hours with fair usage and during our video test it lasted for 3 hours and 18 minutes. This smartphone is small in size only but not in features than its competitors in this range. The GPS is quite responsive, and 3G and Wi-Fi connectivities work well.

Bottomline: The device is a tough competitor in this price segment with small yet bright screen and day long battery back-up. The biggest rival of the device in the segment is Moto E and Micromax Unite 2, which are larger in size as well as better in performance.
