After showcasing its affordable entry in MWC 2015, Lenovo has finally launched its 4G enabled A7000 for the Indian market at a price of Rs. 8,999.

The dual SIM smartphone will be the first to integrate Dolby Atmos sound technology and will follow the same flash sale model as we have seen previously at the time of A6000.

The smartphone features a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.The UI is similar to A6000 and Lenovo Vibe with no app drawer and various gesture controls.

Talking about the design, it is 7.9mm thick and weighs 140gm. Under the hood is a 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core processor with 2GB RAM support for multitasking.

The A7000 has an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.

The smartphone is backed by a 2900mAh replaceable battery battery and includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and Cat 4 4G LTE as connectivity options.

It will be interesting to see whether the company will be able to match the success of A6000 with the new model. The registration for the smartphone starts today at Flipkart.com and the first flash sale will begin on April 15 at 2 PM.
