Lenovo K8 smartphone Introduced

Lenovo has launched the K8 smartphone for India. The company announced the launch of the handset through Twitter. The tweet said, "Unleash #KickassPower with the #LenovoK8. Available at a store near you!". This is the third handset of the K8 series as the company has already launched K8 Note and K8 Plus smartphones.

Price and availability

The K8 smartphone is priced at Rs 10,499 and is an offline-only smartphone and will be available at Lenovo retail stores.

Specifications

The K8 smartphone offers a 5.2-inch IPS HD display with 1280x720p resolution and 2.5D glass protection. The smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box and houses a finger print sensor at the back.

Powered by a 2.3GHz octa-core Mediatek Helio P20 processor coupled with 3GB RAM, the device offers 32GB internal storage and microSD card support. As for the cameras, the K8 has a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front facing snapper.

The dual-sim smartphone packs a 4000mAh battery that is claimed to last up to 36 hours. It measures 147.9x73.7x8.5mm and weighs 165g.

The K8 smartphone was first shown by the company when it had launched the Lenovo K8 Plus smartphone earlier this month. The K8 Note smartphone runs on the octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.5GHz along with 3GB RAM. It offers a 5.2-inch full HD (1080x1920 pixels) IPS display and has 13MP+5MP rear cameras along with F/2.0 aperture, Depth Mode, Professional Mode and more.
The handset comes in two variants at Rs 10,999 for the 3GB RAM+32GB variant. The 4GB RAM+32 inbuilt storage and is exclusively available on Flipkart.
