Mi India is excited to announce the launch of its second ‘Made in India’ smartphone, Redmi Note Prime, on Amazon.in. Redmi Note Prime will be available for Rs. 8,499 exclusively on Amazon.in and Mi.com, starting 10.00 am on 15th December 2015.

Xiaomi announced in August this year that it would manufacture its devices locally in India, in a show of commitment to Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. The company kicked off its ‘Make in India’ plans with the launch of its first smartphone manufactured in India, Redmi 2 Prime.

Redmi Note Prime is the second Mi phone to be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in partnership with Foxconn Technology Group. Redmi Note Prime is an enhanced version of Redmi Note 4G with dual SIM slots, 2GB RAM, 16GB Flash (expandable to 32GB) and a Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor. With the memory upgrade, Redmi Note Prime offers an even smoother user experience and more space for apps and media on a 5.5" HD IPS display.
