Moto X (2017) will be launched in sometime next year; OppTrends has reported which proves that Lenovo-owned Motorola hasn’t discontinued its Moto X series.

Images of the new version of Moto X have been leaked on GSM Arena.

Lenovo is keeping the new Moto X a closely guarded secret, thus we do not have much information regarding the flagship smartphone specifications, but many sources are trying to decipher some of its features from the leaked images. By looking at the image it is clear that Moto X will host an all metal frame construction, dual-LED flash with a rear camera together with a fingerprint scanner at the front. The older Moto X model was backed by a 21MP rear camera supported by a LED flash, Phase Detection autofocus, and 5MP front camera.

If you remember the Moto Z series camera assembly, then you can see that the Moto X will host pretty much the same one on the back cover. In the leaked images, no connector pins were visible on the lower back of the phone which indicates that it won’t support Moto Mods.

The Moto X is supposed to be available in Silver and Gold color version, and according to rumors, Motorola will unveil 11 new MotoMods in 2017. Some of the most recent ones that were introduced are Incipio Car Dock and 3,000 mAh Mophie Battery Pack, and the older ones that are available now include Moto Insta-Share Projector, MotoMods JBL Soundboost Speaker, Moto Z Droid, and Motorola Hasselblad True Zoom Camera.

Motorola has also announced that it has no plans to launch its new Moto 360 smartwatch soon. The company released a statement which reveals that there is a long wait before the next Moto 360 arrives.
