Debjani Ghosh, President, NASSCOM, and Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairman & Managing Director, Biocoin Ltd. were among the notable speakers at the curtain raiser held at the Infosys Convention Centre today. The event was also attended by CXOs and senior leaders, HR and L&D heads, technology heads and subject experts.

Commenting on the initiative, Ashok Pamidi, Senior Director, NASSCOM said, “We are thrilled to announce this program designed to support women who are moving up the career ladder, while also paving the way for potential leaders of the future. Oriented towards professionals in core technologies from the IT-ITES, BPM, product and R&D sectors, we are confident that this will give women an edge in the development and growth of their careers.”

Earlier this year, NASSCOM launched the second Women and IT Scorecard – India report forecasting that half of firms will have over 20% women in the C-suite level, which is set to increase to nearly 60% at the senior level. It found that HR policies such as conveyance, flexi-work, work-from-home, parental leave, anti-harassment, healthcare, have led to the positive trend.
