The new weekly plans are visible on Netflix India’s website. The mobile plan only allows users to view the content on any one smartphone screen at a time in SD and does not support HD or 4K resolution.

If you calculate the plan on a monthly basis, they are not cheap, but yes, they offer you the flexibility to pay on a weekly basis if you plan to watch something, relatively offering content at a less price.

Netflix is currently one of the expensive streaming service providers in India. Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar offer subscription at Rs 199, with Amazon also offering added benefits for Prime service.

The company recently introduced ‘smart downloads’ in its app which will automatically delete the viewed episodes and downloads the next, once connected to the Wi-Fi network. The feature will help users in maximising their storage capacity on their iOS and Android device.

In case, a user wants to re-watch previous episodes, they can always turn off the smart downloads feature from the setting menu.
