Last week was the 80th anniversary of the caped crusader. Multiple cities around the world (Berlin, Rome, Johannesburg, Tokyo, New York) lit up the signal to celebrate one of the most iconic superheroes in history. But the ultimate Batman tribute might have been given by Warner Brothers Montreal, the studio which developed Arkham Origins. And many believe that their tribute might signal to a new Batman game. Before we go any further, let us have a look at their twitter post.

As we can see, there are two flickers in the video. The first one very briefly shows the symbol for Ra’as Al Ghul (The Demon’s Head), the head of the League of Assassins where Bruce Wayne trained to become Batman. The second symbol is from the Court of Owls, the secret society of Gotham which controls all the criminal activities in the city.
If that wasn’t enough, Scott Snyder, who created Court of Owls, all but confirmed this in a now deleted tweet (image via wccftech)
It is not known whether the new game will be a sequel to Arkham Origins, which showed Bruce Wayne in his early days as Batman or if it will pick up where Arkham Knight left off. But the latter possibility is a bit unlikely as (SPOILER AHEAD) Bruce Wayne initiates the Knighfall Protocol at the end of Arkham Knight. But it that is the case, we might get to see a new Batman.
We should expect the announcement of the new Batman game to be pretty soon, but from various rumours, it could be as soon as tomorrow at the Sony’s State of Play.
The game could also be exclusively on Epic Store since the whole Arkham Collection is completely free on Epic store right now. You can grab it here.
