Is There a New Oneplus Nord Coming with Snapdragon 690? Find Out Here

Oneplus is still basking in its success of the Oneplus Nord. The smartphone literally created ripples when it was originally unveiled. Now it seems that there might be another NORD coming soon. In a leak that has been floating around it seems that the engineers at Oneplus don’t really rest at all. The new leak is suggesting an entire line of new Oneplus NORDs and all equipped with different variants of the latest Snapdragon processors. In the leak, it suggests that the new Nord will come with the latest Snapdragon 690 processor. For those who missed out on the news, Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 690 as a more affordable 5G processor. 

The new Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 is an octa-core processor that supports 5G and is a more budget-friendly option for smartphone manufacturers. If the leaks are to be believed then it will make the new Oneplus Nord the first smartphone to launch with the latest 690 processor. Other information that the leak contained said the smartphone is running on Android 10 and has 6GB of Ram. 

Specifications aside this means that the Oneplus is trying to enter the sub Rs. 20,000 price range. Oneplus has always been know as the brand that makes flagship killers at a more affordable price. Even after the launch of the new Oneplus NORD, the brand did not show any indication of entering the more budget-oriented segment. Now it seems that even Oneplus is maturing as a company and is finally going to take on brands like Xiaomi in the Indian markets. 

Speculations aside one thing to keep in mind is that even with the leaks these are still rumors. There is a huge chance that Oneplus may just drop the smartphone in its development stages. There are other rumors going around saying that there might be a version of Oneplus NORD with the MediaTek processor as well.
