Nextbit Robin, an entirely  cloud-based Android smartphone, is set to launch in India on May 25, 2016.  Nextbit is a mobile technology company based out of San Francisco, United States.  Robin is the first smartphone from Nexbit technology and they claimed that their user would never get a shortage of storage space. The company offered 100GB of cloud storage for free to its users and integrated this feature into the OS.

Initially, the company was planning to launch the smartphone in the month of April but due to some regulatory approvals, they are going to sell and launch  the Nextbit Robin on May 25.

This phone already has been launched out of India in August 2015. The phone is based on Android and comes with a 5.20-inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. For processing, it is powered by  2GHz hexacore Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 32GB of internal storage that cannot be expanded. However, to solve storage problem the Nextbit comes with an innovative idea of integrating cloud storage in a smartphone, where  the smartphone’s OS backs up everything to the cloud- music, videos, data as well as apps. For security, it has fingerprint sensor which has been placed very ergonomically on the right-side panel where normally power or lock/unlocked buttons been found in the smartphone.

In the camera section, Nextbit Robin packs a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Nextbit Robin runs on Android and is powered by a 2680mAh non-removable battery. It measures 149.00 x 72.00 x 7.00 (height x width x thickness).  The Nextbit Robin is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Regular SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 4G. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. We haven’t any clue about the pricing in India but in the US, it’s available at $399. We will update you soon about the phone, so keep visiting.
