New Update

Build - It gives you the convenience of single fixed-zoom lens with controls of DSLR levels of camera. This bulky camera can't be carried into the pocket, but comes at pocket friendly price. L330 has 3-inch display at the rear with 460k resolution and an anti-reflective coating, which enables viewing images and videos easily even in sunlight. The DSLR style camera is available in black color only and comes with a rubberized hand-grip. Power, zoom rocker and shutter release buttons are placed on the top and a push-button on the right side to raise the flash. At the rear panel, it gets video record, menu, mode, playback and delete buttons.

Ease of use - The camera has got 18 different scene modes with manual controls as well as ‘Auto' and ‘Easy Auto' modes for people looking for easy operation. It is equipped with a Smart Auto mode that automatically detects the scene type and then applies the optimal shooting settings to capture the finest image. The automatic mode lets you control ISO sensitivity and white balance. On the other hand, different scene modes including ‘Portrait' and ‘Night landscape' allow choosing desired mode as per the scene. It also has ‘Smart Portrait' feature which delays firing the shutter until the subject is smiling and warns if someone has blinked.

Lens Performance - The camera has NIKKOR lens with 26x optical zoom that delivers reasonably detailed picture, but not as expected from the 20.2 MP camera. The lens can click macro shots with a minimum focusing distance of 1 cm. Clicking macro shots is easy, but difficult to avoid shadow on the subject. With ISO 80 to 200, there is no or very low noise in the images, but higher ISO setting like 400 could attract noise and images can lose sharpness as well. It has Auto White Balance (AWB) feature that makes it an excellent device for white balance

performance under both the incandescent and fluorescent lights. L330 is made for zoom and it is impressive at this. It packs Vibration Reduction technology that enable capturing images at the highest optical zoom. The lens is quite decent to shoot videos, but raises noise while zooming in and out. Video quality during the playback is nice and it manages the autofocus while zooming in and out.

Battery - It sports AA alkaline batteries, which is capable of clicking about 500 plus photos in one full charge. Also, one can find spares easily when needed. I suffered with the slower shot processing at times, though.
