OnePlus 9 Pro Is 8T and 8 Pro Mashed Together in a Delicious Meal

We finally have the first look at one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2021. Yes, Oneplus 9 Pro design renders have been leaked and the smartphone looks drop-dead gorgeous. The leaks were a gift given to the world by OnLeaks. One thing to keep in mind that Onleaks also mentioned in the post and we are also going to reiterate is that these leaks are from the initial or prototype stage, meaning that this design is subject to change as new hardware and components are launched in the year 2021. That being said the images do show a new path that Oneplus is going to take with the Oneplus 9 Pro.

Right of the bat, one thing that is clear from the images gathered by OnLeaks is a much cleaner design language. The punch-hole selfie camera is at the top left side of the display panel. Even the bezels are almost non-existent on the device. On the top of the smartphone, you can see the earpiece for taking calls which is the only reason there's a small bezel at the top. It is way too clear that OnePlus has decided to maximize the real estate for the screen. The display panel on the Oneplus 9 Pro will feature a 6.7 inch display with a curvature to it.

The other exciting thing about the OnePlus 9 Pro is that the device will sport an all-glass design. Yes, even at the back there will be a glass panel. The design of Oneplus 9 Pro is heavily inspired by the recent Oneplus devices like the Nord, 8 Pro, and the 8T which is a good thing. People who buy smartphones are not looking for a radically different device each time they purchase one but rather a sense of familiarity. So it makes sense for Oneplus to start developing their own design language that will define the DNA of their future launches.

The not so good thing is the massive camera bump at the back. From the leaks, we gather that there are four cameras in that gigantic bump. Maybe Oneplus is going to focus on the cameras as well for the Oneplus 9 Pro.
