OnePlus 10th anniversary

The launch of OnePlus' first foldable also almost coincides with the company's 10th anniversary in India, the company brought its first phone - the OnePlus One back in April 2014 and next year marks the company's 10th anniversary. 

OnePlus briefly showed off the upcoming foldable device to select YouTubers and journalists, with the camera module hidden. According to these reports, the OnePlus Open will have a gapless hinge design developed by OnePlus and Oppo.

OnePlus Alert Slider confirmed and other details

OnePlus also confirmed that the company will keep the signature warning on the first foldable part of the slider, which is likely to be called OnePlus Open. According to leaks, the OnePlus Open will have a circular camera island on the back with a Hasselblad configuration, and it's also said to be the company's first phone with a periscope zoom lens. 

The OnePlus Open is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 system with up to 18GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, similar to the recently launched OnePlus 11r Solar Red variant. The leak also suggests that Open will ship a custom OxygenOS skin optimized for the foldable form factor.

Other notable features of the OnePlus Open are said to be a 7.8-inch primary foldable display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a secondary 6.3-inch display with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Unlike Samsung's foldable model, the OnePlus Open is unlikely to offer any kind of waterproof rating. 

In terms of pricing, the OnePlus Open is probably the most expensive phone it has ever launched. However, it is said to be slightly more affordable than the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

The current Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2023 offers the OnePlus 11 5G for an all-time low price. The flagship from OnePlus arrived in India in February of this year and has shown to be a reliable option in the under-Rs. 60,000 price range. However, with the beginning of the sale season, the OnePlus 11 5G will be offered with a discount of over Rs 7,000, and to sweeten the bargain even more, OnePlus will be providing a free TWS bundle.
