Chinese startup OnePlus has launched OnePlus X. This is the third smartphone from the company, will be available in Onyx and Ceramic versions. The Onyx version is priced Rs 16,999 and will be available through an invite only flash sale on on November 5. The Ceramic version will cost Rs 22,999 but will be a limited edition with just 10,000 units becoming available later.

Today, the company said the OnePlus One will continue to sell at least till the end of this year. While OnePlus might argue that the upcoming ‘mini’ version is not a flagship product, there seems to be compulsions behind OnePlus launching the ‘mini’ version in such haste, especially when it once boasted about an “Apple-like one device an year ” policy. Market dynamics could be a reason. Or, may be OnePlus doesn’t want to let go off the opportunity in sub-Rs 20,000 market.
The OnePlus X, running OxygenOS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, features a 5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Amoled display, and is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. Like the OnePlus 2, it features a hardware Alert Slider, and capacitive keys.

The OnePlus X comes with 16GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The smartphone features a hybrid dual-SIM slot, with the second slot usable for microSD cards. It features a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel, and a 2525mAh battery.
The Ceramic variant weighs in at 160 grams, while the Onyx variant weighs 138 grams. Connectivity options include support for Indian 4G LTE bands, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, FM radio, and Micro-USB.
Price and Availability
The device is expected to be priced Rs 16,999 for X Onyx and Rs 22,999 for ceramic and will available on Amazon
