The first foldable smartphone from OnePlus will be soon available on the market. According to rumors, the OnePlus Open smartphone is anticipated to be released in the third quarter of 2023. A few pieces of information regarding the phone have already surfaced in rumors. The OnePlus Open is reportedly expected to come in two distinct color variations, according to a recent report.

The name of the OnePlus foldable phone was announced on Twitter. The business wrote on Twitter, "We OPEN when others FOLD." This verifies that the name "OnePlus Open" will be used for OnePlus' future foldable smartphone.

According to Tipster Max Jambor's X post (noted by GizmoChina), the OnePlus Open will compete with the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold 5. In July, Samsung launched a foldable smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 12GB of RAM.

The tipster also claims that the OnePlus Open foldable smartphone will be available in Voyage Black and Emerald Eclipse color variants. Other than that, tipsters have not shared any other information about the upcoming smartphone.

OnePlus Open: Expected Specifications

According to earlier reports, the OnePlus Open smartphone could have a 6.3-inch AMOLED external panel, which is likely to support a 120 Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the foldable screen inside the smartphone is rumored to have a 7.8-inch AMOLED panel that can support 2K resolution.

The foldable smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 16GB of RAM. The OnePlus Open is rumored to offer 256GB of storage and may pack a 4,800 mAh battery. The smartphone is also believed to support 67-watt fast charging.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro has been launched in China

The Chinese smartphone maker has just launched the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro on its home turf. The latest "flagship killer" is expected to be rebranded as the OnePlus 12 for other markets. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is now available for pre-order in China.  This smartphone has a 6.7-inch flexible BOE Q9 OLED display that supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and 1600 nits peak brightness.

The screen of the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro also has a Rain Water Touch feature that allows you to use the smartphone even in the rain. The OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset backed by 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.

The smartphone has a 50-megapixel triple rear camera (with OIS) and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The Ace 2 Pro also packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 150W fast charging.
