OnePlus TV to launch soon in India

After successfully establishing itself in the premium smartphone space, China’s OnePlus seems to follow Xiaomi’s footsteps as the OnePlus is now planning to launch a TV in India. OnePlus TV is the most anticipated product of 2019 considering the team behind it. Just like OnePlus smartphones, the OnePlus TV would also bring flagship features at a relatively affordable price.

In late of 2018, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau announced that OnePlus TV could come somewhere in the mid of 2019. Now according to recent media reports, the company might need a little more time in the development of the TV and the launch could be pushed to 2020. But, if the things for OnePlus went fast, the TV could be launch in the coming months.

OnePlus TV will also be sold on Amazon which also sells its smartphones. The TV is expected to run on Android with built-in Alexa or Google Assistant and would also offer support for HDR10 playback and Dolby Atmos surround sound technology which can be even found in budget 4K TVs.

The TV may not come with OLED panels, considered to be more premium and better than current LED panels, Lau said. The OnePlus TV could leverage artificial intelligence and next-generation 5G connectivity.
