Ending months of leaks and rumours that were shared on social media apps, Oppo is set to launch two new smartphones — Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10X. The new Oppo Reno series is said to replace the Oppo F-series. The company has sent out media invites for an event scheduled on May 28.

‘Brace yourselves and further your vision with the Oppo Reno,’ the invite reads.

Both the new phones are already available in the Chinese market and are now set to debut in India soon. While the smartphones are expected to carry nearly same designs and specifications, however there could be slight changes to cater to local demands in India.

Oppo generally makes smartphones with a deep focus on camera, and we believe Reno will carry forward the same legacy. The Oppo Reno 10X is expected to come with an advanced 10x hybrid zoom, triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor.

There will also be ultra-night mode 2.0 designed to achieve great results in the low-light conditions. There is also a VOOC 3.0 fast charging support. The most attention seeking feature of the Oppo Reno 10X is the shark-fin look selfie camera. When you will opt for selfies, the entire top of the device is raised to 11-degresss to give a shark-fin look. The earpiece, front and rear flashlights are hidden in the front module.

While not much information is available for the Oppo Reno model, in China, the smartphone features a 6.4-inch full-screen display and Snapdragon 710 SoC. The Oppo Reno comes with a dual camera setup consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor. There is also a 16MP front camera that pops up when you opt for selfies.
