PUBG Mobile has been banned in India. The ban happened on September 2 under section 69A of the Information Technology Act. Even after the ban, many players in India are able to open their favorite game and play it but that won't be the case for long. Most of the player base of PUBG mobile has already started to migrate on other games and more specifically towards Call of duty mobile. PUBG Mobile did an event on August 24 called the new Era that was coming on September 8th. The New ERA update was supposed to overhaul the game completely but with the ban in place, players of India won't be getting the update. A new tweet from the PUBG Mobile official twitter account explained how will the New Erangle map will look after the New Erangle update.

PUBG Mobile Banned In India, New Erangle Update September 8:
PUBG Mobile is banned in India but as of now Tencent games or PUBG Mobile India has not given a statement regarding the ban. When it comes to the PUBG M new Era update, the new Erangle map has gone through a massive overhaul. Many of the previously known locations like Quarry, Prison, pochinki, Mylta Power, and coastal areas of the map. Overall the map has gone through an extensive update and now will be offering a new color scheme which is brighter and more colorful.
Prison has been updated to now become a hotter drop than ever. The prison in the new Erangle update has been turned into a big hot drop and overall the place looks like it has gone through a time skip and now players will be transported to an Erangle that is 50 years into the future. Mylta power has been changed as well. Now the nuclear plant has become more broken and tattered. New areas have been added in the map as well.
