PUBG is focusing on Sanhok in the new Season 8. Sanhok is one of the older maps in the game and has never been updated and revamped at such a massive level. In the patch notes for the update 8.1, it said that the developers at PUBG wanted the Sanhok map to look more like a place that time and civilization has forgotten. The new update 8.1 will bring a lot of new features and is going to address many of the issues that players have raised. This will be the first time that PUBG has given sanhok the attention it deserves. Sanhok is one of the most played maps in PUBG.
Changes in the Sanhok Map in PUBG Season 8 Update 8.1
Bootcamp
The iconic Bootcamp has been revamped and tuned in the new update. Bootcamp has always been one of the most iconic locations in PUBG. The hot drop of Sanhok is not getting the attention it deserves. Now in the update 8.1 Bootcamp is getting more aggressive. There is plenty of line of sight for long-range engagements but also lots of covers for players to advance on opponents. There are underground areas for aggressive close-quarters combat as well. In the image, it shows that PUBG has taken all the cars and debris out from the Bootcamp and now have introduced a new pathway for the Loot Truck.
Quarry
The quarry in Sanhok has always been one of the middle ground between two hot drops that used to have a lot of players fighting as they traveled to the safe zone. Now in the update 8.1 PUBG has updated the quarry from a landfill site without any ropes to a landfill site with ropes and bridges. The Quarry still retains its original appeal but the fights between players will be more intense and unconventional.
Airfield (Previously Mongnai)
This is by far one of the most exciting locations update in Sanhok. Mongnai was never really an area that players cared for on the map. It was there and it did show up on the map but hardly anyone used to drop here. Now in the update 8.1 Mongnai has been replaced by Airfield. In the video that PUBG released on Youtube, the Airfield will have the Motor Glider which players can use to fly in Sanhok. This is something that has never happened on PUBG at all across any platform. The Motor Glider will only be available on the Airfield so if you want it then drop in.
Getaway (Previously Docks)
Docks are gone now. They were fun while they lasted but they had barely any decent loot. Now you have the Getaway. The PUBG Update 8.1 has replaced the dock with a new resort Getaway. Literally, it is a getaway or it used to be. Don’t be fooled by the looks of it. Chances are there will not be any party going on there.
Ruins
Another hotdrop location on the Sanhok map. Ruins have ruined so many players and now PUBG is making them even more ruinous. In the new PUBG Season 8 update, the ruins have become the massive labyrinthine and deadly destination it should be with plenty of loot for those willing to raid its treasures. Don’t let the Ruins ruin you.
Mountain/Cave/River
The new PUBG update 8.1 will make the Mountains more travel friendly. The same goes for the cave and river. Basically the entire map is getting a redesign to make traveling easier for the players. There are more bridges being added to make crossing the river of sanhok easier. It is the Cave that is getting an interesting bonus. If players fall from the cave and manage to survive then apparently there is a temple that they can explorer. No idea how this works at all.
Bhan
Bhan is gone now and replaced by houses. Bye Bhan.
