Realme GT5 with 240W Fast Charging Launched in China: Check Details

Realme, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, debuted its newest flagship model locally. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the 144Hz OLED display in the Realme GT5. Weibo has been used by the firm to share a post announcing the release of the smartphone.

In China, the Realme GT5 is already up for pre-order and will soon be in stores. At MWC Barcelona in February, the firm made the smartphone public for the first time.

Realme GT5 Specifications

The Realme GT5 has a 6.7-inch 144Hz 1.5K flat T7 OLED display provided by Tianma. The display supports 2160 Hz PWM dimming and up to 1400 nits of peak brightness, as well as narrow chin and side bezels.

The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage and support for the Whirlwind Memory Engine 2.0. It is also the first Realme phone to receive the IRX gaming experience certification from Pixelworks.

The Realme GT5 also has a standalone X7 display chip. The company claims that the display chip offers a frame rate of 144 frames per second, which is compatible with 110 mobile games. The smartphone also features an Ice core cooling system and graphite material for more efficient heat removal.

In terms of optics, the smartphone has a triple rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The smartphone also supports Wi-Fi 7.

The 240W fast charging version includes a 4600mAh version and is said to fully charge the smartphone in nine minutes. Meanwhile, the 150W version has a 5240mAh battery.

Meanwhile, Realme has teased its upcoming budget smartphone Realme C51 in India. The company promised a more interesting experience for the device, which has a notch and a mini capsule similar to the Realme C55 and C53 models. It will probably be released in early September and will be available.

Realme GT5: Price and Availability

The Realme GT5 150W variant, which packs 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, is priced at 2,999 yuan (nearly Rs. 35,000). Meanwhile, the 150W variant with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at 3,299 yuan (nearly Rs 37,000).

On the other hand, the 240W variant has one 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model which costs 3,799 yuan (nearly Rs 43,000). All three models are available for pre-order in China and will go on sale on September 4. The smartphone is available in two color options – Flowing Silver Mirror and Star Mist Oasis.
