After China’s OnePlus that brought the 90Hz refresh rate screen in its OnePlus 7 Pro, another Chinese smartphone maker Realme is said to be working on a new smartphone that will come with 90Hz refresh rate.

Realme’s Product Manager Wang Derek has confirmed the development and announced that the phone is not far away. While Derek did not reveal much of the specifications, he said that the new Realme XT Pro will be cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro.

According to the rumors, the Realme XT Pro is expected come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and a next-generation in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Additionally, the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC paired up with 8GB of RAM and will offer 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, which can be further expanded by via micro-SD card.

For mobile photography, the Realme XT Pro will come with a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. At the front, the Realme XT Pro will come with a 32MP primary camera. The smartphone will run ColorO 6.0 on top of Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Also, expect NFC and a 4,000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging support.

The 90Hz refresh rate is designed for hardcore gamers who don’t want to miss any of the action during gameplay. The 90Hz refresh rate means the screen refreshed 90 times per second, meaning you will experience much smoother gameplay than normal smartphones that come with 60Hz refresh rate screen.

Other phones coming with the 90Hz refresh rate include the upcoming Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7T Pro. Currently, OnePlus 7, nubia Red Magic 3, Red Magic 3S and ASUS ROG offer 90Hz display.
