Redmi K2 Pro to be Redmi’s first Snapdragon 855 smartphone

China’s OnePlus is working on a flagship smartphone – Redmi K2 Pro – which will be the company’s first Snapdragon 855 chipset powered smartphone. While previous leaks claimed the device to be Redmi X, but a new leak confirms that device to be named Redmi K20 Pro.

The specification was leaked from a protective film wrapped around the Redmi K2 Pro. The smartphone is expected to sport a 48MP triple rear camera along with a 20MP selfie camera.

The Redmi K2 Pro will come with a 6.30-inch AMOLED screen, a new generation in-display fingerprint scanner, a 4,000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support, the protective film revealed.

Additionally, there will be 3.5mm audio jack and NFC. While the official launch date is not yet confirmed, but Xiaomi smartphones tend to generate a lot of buzz before they are being actually launched in the market.

Redmi, which is now a subsidiary of Xiaomi launched its first smartphone --- Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) in India in March. The smartphone comes with a 6.3-inch dot notch display, a glass back and a dual rear camera setup -- 48MP and 5MP sensors, and a fingerprint scanner.
