Reliance Jio Announces Prime Membership at Rs 99 for 1 year

In his speech on 21st Feb 2017, the Mukesh Ambani has announced JIO prime membership for its existing customers. Also, the customers who subscribed the JIO services on or before March 31st can enroll JIO prime membership for one time fee of Rs 99. Prime members will be eligible for all the unlimited benefits availed during the introductory offer for another 12 months till March 31, 2018 by paying a fee of Rs 303 per month.

According to Mr. Mukesh Ambani " Jio users make more than 200 crore minutes of voice and video calls. And when it comes to data before Jio, India was 150th in the world in broadband penetration. But, just 5 months after Jio’s launched, the Jio users consumed more than 100 crore GB of data on the Jio network! That is more than 3.3 crore GB a day.

Today, India is the number one country in the world for mobile data usage. Jio users consume nearly as much mobile data as the entire United States of America.

And nearly 50% more mobile data than all of China. A significant portion of this data is consumed as video and Jio carries nearly 5.5 crore hours of video daily on its network. This makes Jio one of the largest mobile video networks globally."

He also declared that from April 1 all domestic voice calls to any network will remain free, no roaming charges, no black out days and no hidden charges.
