Resident Evil 3 Remake and other games announced at State of Play

Sony’s PS5 is on the horizon with less than a year left for its release. But PS4 still has a lot to offer, as was shown by last night’s State of Play.

Sony’s PS5 is on the horizon with less than a year left for its release. But PS4 still has a lot to offer, as was shown by last night’s State of Play. There were 9 new announcements in total and 1 other announcement. Here they are:

Resident Evil 3 Remake 

This game was already rumored to be in the making, but it was confirmed last night on State of Play. Just like its predecessor Resident Evil 2 Remake, this is the modern version of the classic resident evil game and is definitely going to be as the scary. The game will release on PS4 on April 3rd, 2020.

Untitled Goose Game 

Untitled Goose Game was this year’s quirky game which the internet memed the hell out of. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised since a game where you played as a Goat (Goat Simulator) was also one of the biggest releases of its year. The game which released on Steam earlier will now also be available to PS4 users.

Spellbreak 

Spellbreak has been beta testing for quite some time now and has caught quite a few glimpses. This is a Battle Royale, but with magic. The full game has finally been announced for PS4 and is coming in 2020.

Predator: Hunting Grounds 

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a game set in the universe of Predator. It is a multiplayer asymmetrical shooter. Though the details are not known yet, there will be classes of Predators thet the players will be able to select and multiple weapons to choose from.

Babylon’s Fall 

This is a game being developed by Square Enix and Platinum Games. It is a Hack and Slash RPG, but further details are unknown and will be announced in summer of 2020.

Paper Beast 

Paper Beast is a VR game where players will be able to manipulate creatures of an alien planet. These creatures look as if they were made from paper.

Superliminal 

The trailer of this game was so trippy. This is a perspective based puzzle game and will be arriving onPS4 in 2020. 

Dreams 

Dreams is not a video game per se. It is much like a level maker, but players will be able to make full fledged video games out of it and share it with players. Anyone who has Dreams will also be able to play the player generated content. It will hit PS4 on 14 February 2020. 

Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind  

The much awaited DLC to this years’ Kingdom Hearts III, which itself was much awaited is finally coming to PS4 on Jan 23. 

Ghost of Tsushima 

The game had already been announced last year, but Sony ended State of Play with a teaser of the much anticipated PS4 exclusive while also announcing that the full trailer will be revealed at The Game Awards.
