Bottomline : This is an amazing tiny device available at a good price to turn your TV into PC. The chrome OS runs surprisingly smooth without any performance lag, but you can add only apps or games available on Google Play Store. However there are plenty of apps available, but these apps also run into the browser and as its online only OS so you need a strong connectivity, wherever you want to use this device.

You may have heard that PCs have become small enough to carry in your pocket. We have experienced that while reviewing RDP Plug PC and now Asus Chromebit CS10 which is claimed to be the world’s smallest Chrome OS device, measuring just 12cm long.

This small device can turn any monitor or TV that has an HDMI port, into a PC. You just need to plug in the device and a small setup process will take you to the Chrome OS’s desktop. This can be paired with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse easily or you can use a USB hub to connect wired Keyboard and mouse as it has only one USB port.

Using your Google account you will be able to access all the features of this device, and can perform other activities. You can browse the Internet, watch HD movies and lot many things. This can even be used for business applications or digital signage and self-serve kiosks. It comes with an extension cable or bendable Flex-Connect HDMI connector that lets you connect it in any angle.

Chromebit CS10 is equipped with 2 GB of memory, 16GB of eMMC storage, dual- band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and both USB and HDMI ports. This runs on Chrome OS meaning, automatic updates ensure you’ll always have the latest software while built-in virus protection keeps you secure. Some people can feel that it comes with very low memory, but being a pocket device, we think this is fair. Moreover, as you get access to all the Google apps and it comes with 100 GB of free Google Drive space. This comes with Chrome Web Store, where you get access to thousands of apps online or offline. You will have access to the files you need as well as your favorite Google services. Simply log in to your Gmail account to access the cloud anytime, anywhere.

While testing the device for more than two weeks, we added several apps and enjoyed browsing the Internet. Though it’s not a powerful machine that can perform any task, but it’s capable enough to handle basic computing needs. As its a browser based OS, so we browsed various websites including YouTube, Facebook, etc. We opened more than 10 tabs in one browser and didn’t find any performance lag. Also, we added some apps and games and there as well we didn’t notice any lag in the performance.
