The headphone feature dual aluminium housing design with aluminium centrepiece and aluminium stabilizer ring and looks elegant. The build quality is simple and is similar to previous models of Audio Technica headphones. It would have been great if Audio-Technica would have used more metal given the price it is available. However it is  all once again hard plastic and now comes with matte finish this feels soft and looks elegant. Each ear cup carries the Audio Technical logo in silver black combination with Audio Technica branding at the head band.

The band is flexible and will suit almost all head sizes. It is padded only in middle, considering that's the area where it actually touches the head. The headphone is light in weight and can be worn comfortably for longer listening periods. They have a fantastic seal with soft ear cups and cushions all around them. You can swivel the ear cups 90 degrees to lie flat when carrying around.

According to Audio Technica, the headphone is equipped with an extra Airflow-based venting system with central and side vents to optimize the spring pressure of the air inside of the case to drastically improve the sound quality.

The detachable 1.2 m (3.9') cable includes mic and control for answering calls and controlling media playback on smartphones and other portable devices.

Performance

I used the Audio Technica solid bass headphone review unit for period of 10 days and did a lot of listening. The 53 mm Deep Motion Hi-Res Audio Drivers managed to maintain the low-, mid- and high-frequency components of music without overpowering each other.

On tracks with intense sub-bass content like Titanium by David Guetta which features dance club style beats, the headphone performed excellently pushing profound bass and sounded bright and booming making this melody truly mesmerizing from start to end. Sia’s vocals were clearly audible in between the bass of this electric pop song. The low end 5Hz of frequency response is capable of producing deep lows in the songs.

In piano number like Clair de Lune from Claude Debussy's the headphone produce as much silence as much sound without any hint of hissing or buzzing during these quiet times.

We also tested the headphone across various games and were surely impressed by its performance. When we played GTA 4 which is a combination of racing, shooting, gang wars etc everything sounded perfect and will certainly enhance your gameplay experience.
