One thing that bridges all beings, dance forms, natural geometrical patterns, emotions and existence is sound. We profoundly call the sounds we love, music - sound pleasing, liberating. And whilst our jukeboxes have condensed down to music apps in our phones, headphones, earphone or audio devices are the real MVPs.

Blaupunkt, a German electronics company which is identified by its “blue dot” logo – also the literal meaning of the brand – has brought flat-cable style Wired Earphones with a claimed tangle-free cable  and not just one but two remotes. The MRP inscribed on the box is Rs. 1,099 while the pair of earphones is available at Amazon at nearly half the MRP. Available with matte black colour scheme, the wired earphones from Blaupunkt have a hint of red under the ear buds.

Two Remotes instead of One:

Blaupunkt Wired Earphone Review: Stunning Sound for a Great PriceThe aesthetics is area which Blaupunkt aces with the curved triangle design of the earplugs. The flat cable is tangle-free indeed and doesn’t attract dust particles. The ear buds, however squishy, don’t hurt in long usage. Two remotes – one with dedicated slider volume control and another with multi-purpose button and mic – may incite dual thoughts.

While on one hand it expands control, on the other you feel the buttons could have been placed on a single remote without much pain. Unless, you really want a slider for volume control.

Rock the Jukebox Loudest - Immense Clarity and Deep Bass:

The wired earphones are brilliant at their intended use – sound. While the earplugs rest comfortably during long hours of use and even while lying down, they play equally well. You can revv the volume up to maximum on the remote slider as well as on your phone or laptop and will not hear a single instance of distortion. Bass and Highs (treble) are top-notch, but the mids lack a tiny bit. This is, however, not audibly observable unless you listen to instrument-intensive (rather instrument-diverse) genres of music such as Progressive Rock/Metal, Psychedelic or EDM. Audio in movies is terrific and dialogues clearly audible, while you can feel the soundtracks.

To add to this enticing experience, the noise cancellation provided by Blaupunkt wired earphones is amazing, ceasing noise even from typically loud sources, external sounds, and noise from commute. This comfortably helps you transcend into a concealed audio environment.

Verdict:

For the price, the Blaupunkt Wired Earphones are a sweet-sounding deal – strongly recommended for audiophiles. I have been using Smile Jamaica earphones by House of Marley and Blaupunkt’s perform louder and marginally better for half the price.
