Elegant design and vibrant display

First impression that creates in mind while unboxing this smartphone is You will notice One ME has the same signature frame and look of HTC high end phones, as it looks very similar to One M9 and One M9+ smartphones.

HTC One ME comes with metal and plastic construction, whereas One M9+ and M9 boast of all-metal body. The back cover is made by quality plastic, but catches smuges and fingerprints easily. On the edges, it has a metallic frame that, coupled with the high-quality polycarbonate back panel, gives the smartphone a solid feel. The curved back casing makes it easy to grip in the hand at all times.

The Power and Volume buttons as well as the microSD card slot are on the right side of One ME, whereas the two nano sim card slots are on the left. HTC has covered the microSD card and sim card slots with flaps that are easy to remove. The microUSB port and earphone jack are located at the bottom of the phone.

The fingerprint scanner which is located on the bottom of the screen is easy to access even when you are using the HTC One ME with a single hand. We feel buttons on right edge is little confusing and had a little problem with the placement of the Volume and Power buttons as there is very little gap between the two keys and we accidentally hit the volume down key while trying to turn the screen off.

HTC One ME has a 5.2-inch IPS display panel with screen resolution of 1440x2560p i.e 2K or QHD. The screen has 565 pixels per inch which makes the One ME display vibrant. The viewing angles are very good as well, so you won't have any trouble even if two or more people watch videos on the phone at the same time. The contrast levels are pretty balanced and colour reproduction is good so that you get punchy colours but not over-saturated. HTC One ME's display panel also delivers under direct sunlight so you have no trouble reading outside.The device in highly sensitive even to a soft touch on display. HTC Sense UI 7.0 provides haptic multi-touch display.

Perfect camera

The 20 MP camera of HTC ONE Me is really good and fast. It can capture great shots. The camera is supported by dual tone LED flash. It has all the camera settings that a flagship phone has such as Geo-tagging, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama, voice capture, continous mode, etc. We were more impressed by the quality of the selfie shots. However, by default the phone beautifies the front camera shots a bit and you will need to switch that off to look more natural.

The camera is capable to hide noise during image processing in lowlight conditions without losing details, which is a major thumbs-up for the phone.

Unbeatable performance but average battery life

HTC has an octa-core Mediatek MT6795 chipset with 64-bit archtitechture running at 2.2 GHz,This smartphone is paired with 3 GB RAM. The smartphone comes with 32 GB of internal storage and supports microSD cards of up to 2 TB capacity which is one of the highest. One ME runs on the company's Sense7.0 UI, based on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop). T

One ME comes preinstalled with the Fun Fit fitness tracking app. This app is pretty useful and tracks the number of steps taken, calories burnt, etc. On software part the smartphone is easy and smooth to use

The marriage between 3 GB RAM and MT6795 chipset of HTC One ME is very reliable and it is able to do multitasking smoothly.

The fingerprint scanner used in HTC One ME is highly sensitive. The fingerprint sensor lights up the screen as soon as you touch it with any finger, though it unlocks the handset only if you place the registered finger/thumb on the scanner.

HTC One ME has a good speakers with Dolby Audio and the 5.2-inch QHD screen make for a great pair as both the video and sound are of excellent quality. The front-facing speakers are pretty loud and clear, and can replace your bedside speakers if you want.

The battery capacity of the smartphone is 2,840mAh. Apart from standard connectivity features (like 2G, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and microUSB 2.0), this smartphone also comes with Infrared. HTC has added Dolby Audio to the speakers for better sound quality.
