Cons: Poor front camera, plastic backplate is flexible

Bottomline: Yoga Tab 2 is a right choice for people looking for portable device that can perform all the tasks and last for hours without recharging the battery.

The portable tablet with funky kickstand allows you to use the device in four ways and performs seamlessly for work and play

Yoga Tablet 2 is completely different from the current slab of tablets in the market. The unique design and funky kickstand enable the user to use it in four different ways: Hold, Tilt, Stand, and Hang. This time Lenovo included a powerful battery with the tab that lasts up to 18 hours (as company claims) so you can go all day and into the night without recharging.

Great craftsmanship: Yoga Tab 2 is designed in a silver plastic body with a few real metal accents here and there. It gets the cylindrical edge, which enhances the overall beauty and grip. The cylindrical edge houses the power button, the headphone socket, two front facing speakers, a wall bracket mount and battery. The cylindrical battery bulge used as a grip to hold the device works well with both the hands. The tablet’s front has a huge 10.1-inch screen, front facing speakers and the front facing camera. Volume rocker and microUSB port are placed on the left side. The back panel gets a fine textured finish over the plastic body. The kickstand hides the Micro SD slot and also has a hole to hang it up.

Adaptive and smooth: The tablet has bright, colorful, and 10.1 inch large display with great viewing angles. The IPS display with 1920×1200 resolution offers great movie and gaming experience. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat over customized UI. Lenovo have skinned the Launcher, the lock screen, the notification drop down, the power settings slide up, etc. It also has Multi Window mode that allows you to use up to four apps simultaneously.
The tablet is backed by 1.33 GHz Intel Atom Quad Core Z3745 processor, Intel HD Graphics and 2 GB RAM that makes it an ultimate device to run heavy apps and games with ease. During the test, we played some heavy apps and games simultaneously, but there was no lag in performance. Even while using the multi window mode, it was running smoothly. It has 16 GB of internal memory, of which 10.75 GB is available to the user and you can add microSD as well to increase the storage capacity.

Yoga Tab 2 boasts 8 MP autofocus camera with BSI-2 sensor. It clicks detailed images in daylight and adapts different lighting conditions to deliver superior quality images. It comes with several modes and effects to choose from. You can shoot quality video of 1080p or 720p with the rear camera, but the only thing that is missing in the device is flash- even though, it was able to click decent quality images in low light but with a little noise. The 1.6 MP front camera is pretty basic, yet decent for selfies and video chats. The front facing speakers are quite good in terms of quality and offer fairly loud sound with Wolfson Master HiFi audio processing.

Unbeatable battery backup: The tab is powered by 9600 mAh Cell Li-Cylindrical battery. It lasted for 15 hours and 24 minutes while playing videos in full brightness and sound.
