Whether you are a music enthusiast or a working professional, a perfect wireless headphone can give you the freedom to enjoy the music and take calls. The pandemic has changed our personal and professional lives. Now most of us are working from home and students are taking their classes online. In all of these, technology has played the biggest role in connecting us.
Mivi Hyderabad-based company announced its next wireless headphone Collar 2. The new lightweight headphones have an ergonomic design for all-day use.
Built and features
The Collar 2 has an elegant design that looks cool. It has a circular design in which at the left end you can find a micro-USB port for charging. On the same side, you can see the power on/off button that can be used to pair the device with a smartphone, tablet and laptops. Along with the power button, volume controls are placed.
The neckband is made of two material. The collar is made of flexible rubberised plastic with a matte finish on the top. Both ends are made of plastic which looks cool but feels cheap. The buttons are also little hard to press, which isn’t good.
Collar 2 has dynamic 10 mm drivers which can that offers 20 Hz to 20 KHz frequency response. The headphones are sweatproof so you can use them while jogging or gymming without any worry.
Performance
The wireless headphones have dynamic 10 mm drivers that produce a fairly balanced and rich sound. It handled the lows, mids and highs perfectly. While listening to heavy bass songs, the amount of bass it produces is really commendable. However, while playing high pitch songs on high volume, you can feel the distortion in the sound. Overall it delivers great sound and vocal at different volumes. I played songs of various genres in different file formats like FLAC, mp3, ALAC, and WAV. Therefore, we can say, collar 2 headphones produce detailed and crisp vocals.
While using them to take calls, collar 2 was good. As I mentioned earlier, the buttons are hard to press to answer calls or adjust the volume. Otherwise, the vocal clarity is perfect. Using collar 2, I was able to take call in a noisy room as well, my voice sounded clear to the person at the other end.
Headphones come with Bluetooth 5 that offers great connectivity. It was able to manage more than 7 meters without any obstacles. Also, Bluetooth 5 consumes less battery compared to the previous gen so you get longer battery life.
The collar 2 battery takes around 45 minutes to fully charge from 0 to 100 per cent. The fully charged Collar 2 can go beyond 4 hours 35 minutes, when on full volume. With moderate usage, the battery can last for 6 hours.
