Performance
The PTron Basspods Encore earbuds deliver a relatively balanced and rich sound with dynamic drivers. The earbuds handle the lows, mids, and highs perfectly, and the amount of bass it produces is commendable, although it may disappoint hip-hop enthusiasts. The earbuds produce detailed and crisp vocals at different volumes, making them suitable for various genres and file formats like FLAC, mp3, ALAC, and WAV. The earbuds have quad mics that work well to block unwanted noise, making them good for taking calls even in crowded places. Call quality was decent indoors and outdoors, however, the other person can hear the noise as well.
The mids sound clear and warm and provide enough detailing to keep enjoying your favorite music. A clear mid-range for the orchestral vocals, and sharp highs that occasionally felt a bit too sharp. The headphone provided ample loudness at the highest volume, but there was sound distortion.
Packed with Bluetooth 5.3, pairing is a breeze with the PTron TWS. Just open the case and scan for PTron earbuds on your phone and tap pair. Once done whenever you open the case, it will get connected with the smartphone automatically. The lightweight earbuds offer a wireless range of up to 10 meters, when used without any obstacles, they were fairly connected for around 7 to 8 meters. But after that, I noticed some drops.
Battery life
The PTron claims to offer a battery life of up to 50 hours, 10 hours with earbuds and then 4 recharges with the case. The charging case has a 400 mAh battery. The case takes more than two hours to fully charge from 0-100 per cent. While using the TWS for a month, the earbuds were able to deliver more than 8 hours of playtime and over 40 hours of total playtime. When played songs on full volume, it lasted for around 4 hours and 38 minutes.
