Spice introduces Smart Pulse M-9010, an affordable watch-phone which is really an innovative device, but not smart enough. The outer look is completely a watch, and inside it houses mechanism of a phone. Entirely plastic body watch gets chrome finish on the front panel ledges that enhances its look. Speaker and mike are placed at the front while the camera and flash are on the right-side panel and power button and micro USB port on the left-side panel.
It comes with three straps, one Bluetooth headset and USB charger. The 4 cm LCD touchscreen allows you to navigate the device easily, but features are limited. It can be paired with your smartphone that enables you to check notifications, but you can’t act on them. You can stream videos & music, check call logs, read and write SMS and capture images remotely after pairing it with the phone.
You can make or receive calls using the watch-phone, but it disappoints with both the features. I had to the press power button each time to turn-on the screen to see the time, as it keeps the display in off mode, though it saves power and runs longer. With the small display and tiny points to dial the numbers, it makes call answering a painful task, however, the call quality is quite good.
It’s not a smartwatch, so you can’t add more apps or get any health related updates, like in other smartwatches available in the market. It comes with pre-loaded music and video players to play your favorite contents on the device. Its 0.3 MP camera delivers poor quality images and videos. The 420 mAh battery can last for more than two days in normal usage and offers 3 hours 20 minutes talk time.
