Ubon has introduced a new neckband with the claim to offer up to 50 hours of playtime on a single charge. The Rock Series of neckband CL – 3880 produces exhilarating HD audio quality plus it supports TF Card.
Build and Features
The Wireless Neckband is light-weight, comfortable fit and sporty design neckband is an ideal workout companion, as consumers would not have to worry about tangling wires or dropping earbuds. The magnetic power of this neckband builds better support in all circumstances, avoiding the product from any further damage. It also provides passive isolation as it successfully eliminates ambient noises along with a built-in-mic facility for call connectivity. While listening to music, consumers will be able to experience real music. It will allow users to enjoy richer and more dynamic music without any disturbance. The ergonomically-friendly UBON CL – 3880 Wireless Neckband features Bluetooth v5.0 and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. For charging it has a Type-C port.
The earbuds come with a ‘magnetic instant connection’ feature that turns the earphones on when you separate the magnetic earbuds. Separating the earbuds also turns on pairing automatically and if the earbuds are already paired with a device, this action will pair them automatically.
Performance
We tested the Ubon neckband for around a month, the focus tracks for the review were Greece 2000 (System Nipel vs. Cosmic Tone RMX) by Three Drives and Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen. The sound signature of this neckband is impressive. The sound is sharp and we felt that it is aggressive. This can be felt particularly clearly in the first loop of the track.
Moving on to Streets of Philadelphia, the initial thump in the beginning of the track is powerful and clear. Thanks to the large drivers, the soundstage is incredible for a headset of this size.
If you switch to lossless FLAC audio files then the difference in audio quality is immediately noticeable. The same audio tracks will sound richer and you will notice additional detail and a wider dynamic range. We were pretty satisfied with the overall sound reproduction but there was a lack of warmth.
Battery
With moderate usage, I was able to enjoy the calls and music for around two weeks on a single charge. With heavy usage, the battery lasted for around 7 to 8 days. In out audio loop test it was great with above 40 hours of playback.
