With Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print web printing services, organizations can make significant savings on hardware and software as they do away with the need to install expensive and time consuming print servers. The Ricoh App uses Google Cloud Print to submit and manage print jobs. It then sends the print job to the Ricoh Printer, with the particular options the user selected and provides print-job status within the App itself.

Speaking at the launch, A. T. Rajan, MD & CEO of Ricoh India said, “The new application is part of Ricoh’s information- mobility strategy, which will enable our customers to easily access, transform and manage information, even when on the move. It’s another way we’re making information work for our customers in today’s dynamic business environment.”

Ricoh App for Google Print web printing services enable enterprise customers to enable employee productivity as well as reduce the dependability of a computing device to print in addition to support as a backbone for “bring your own device” concept. For SMB or Education or non-profit government agencies, this application will help to reduce the overall IT cost for the organization and leverage the capabilities of business-class document services at a lower cost.

For example, the Ricoh App is ideal for elementary schools where many students use cloud-friendly Google Chromebooks. Designed to leverage cloud apps, the laptops are tightly integrated with cloud-based applications in the Google ecosystem, including Google Cloud Print.

The Ricoh App for Google Cloud Print web printing services can be added new as well as some of the existing Ricoh MFPs. This will help the customer to have a similar feature, in new as well as existing devices. The application is simple and can be installed from a remote management console. Also, the invited users or authorized guests can then print directly from their Chrome web browser or other Cloud Print Ready application.
