Samsung in partnership with Amazon has announced to launch the Galaxy M40 in the country on 11 June. The Galaxy M40 will lead the pack of M-series smartphones that are targeted at young millennials.

The company is teasing the Galaxy M40 with words such as ‘wow,’ ‘swanky’ and ‘quick,’ that specifically emphasises Infinity-O display, triple camera setup and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 675 processor, respectively.

Thanks to the Infinity O display, the M40 will also be first smartphone in the M-series to sport a punch-hole display as the M10, M20 and M30 all come with notch screen designs. Expect the smartphone to be powered by the 6GB of RAM. The Galaxy M40 is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs 25,000.

Currently, the Galaxy M30 leads the M-series. The smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED display panel, Exynos 7904 SoC, 4GB RAM.

Samsung is also planning to launch a new variant of Galaxy A70 – the Galaxy A70S that could possibly be the world’s first smartphone to come with a 64MP rear camera. Samsung recently announced two new 0.8-micrometer (μm) pixel image sensors – the 64MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 and the 48MP ISOCELL Bright GM2. The company is looking to bring the Galaxy A70S with the 64MP one.

‘The GW1 uses the pixel-merging Tetracell technology and remosaic algorithm to produce bright 16MP images in low-light environments and highly-detailed 64MP shots in brighter settings. To further top things off, the GW1 sensor supports real-time high dynamic range (HDR) of up to 100-decibels (dB) that provides richer hues. For what its’ worth, the dynamic range of a conventional image sensor is at around 60dB, while that of the human eye is typically considered to be around 120dB,’ Samsung said in a statement.

The Galaxy A70S is expected to launch in second half of 2019.
