Launched in July of this year, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 went on sale in India on August 18. These devices replace the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, which were released in 2017. A specially designed Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powers the recently released foldable phones.
On top of the market pricing for the handsets, the corporation has recently announced certain incentives and discounts. Both phones feature 25W wired fast charging and have an IPX8 rating.

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 7.6-inch QXGA Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex built-in main screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It has a 6.2 inch Full HD Dynamic AMOLED 2X external panel.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5, on the other hand, comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED 60Hz file-shaped external display. Both phones have a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in storage, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 has 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Samsung's recently launched foldable Android 13-based One UI 5.1.1 user interface is ready to use. In terms of optics, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10-megapixel telephoto sensor.
The front camera has a 10-megapixel sensor. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has two 12-megapixel rear camera sensors and a 10-megapixel front camera.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is backed by a 4400mAh battery that supports 25W wired fast charging, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5's 3700mAh battery also supports 25W wired fast charging. The waterproof rating of the phone is IPX8.

Available in Cream, Ice Blue and Phantom Black, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is priced in India starting at Rs. 1,54,999 for its 12GB 256GB variant, while the 12GB 512GB and 12GB 1TB variants were priced at Rs. 1,64,999 and Rs. 1,84,999. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is listed at Rs. 99,999 and Rs. 1,09,999 for the 8GB 256GB and 8GB 512GB variants.
With the latest offer, Samsung is selling its recently released foldable smartphones at a cheaper price. The 256GB storage variants of Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 are offered at Rs. 7,000 in bank cashback and an additional offer of Rs. 9000 and Rs. 7000 respectively. Customers opting for the non-EMI option at the time of purchase will be extended offers of up to Rs. 11,000 and Rs. 9000 respectively.
