Samsung is now planning to launch Foldable Tablet soon

After the successful unveiling of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung now intends to introduce its first-ever foldable tablet to the global market. This announcement was made by TM Roh, the President and Head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics. Roh revealed that the brand is actively preparing for the launch of a foldable tablet.

When asked about the concept of an Android folding tablet, a space that no other company has entered, Roh stressed the attractiveness of tablets as a versatile product category that lends itself nicely to the foldable format. "Foldables will grow to other categories such as tablet and PC and continue to evolve," Roh said in an interview with The Independent.

Why is Samsung actively introducing foldable devices?

Roh explained the reasoning behind the foldable tablet concept based on people's natural tendency to use books and notebooks for reading and writing. He emphasized the ease of folding and compacting these devices when not in use, protecting valuable content. Samsung is focusing on the development of foldable technology from smartphones to tablets and computers.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 costs Rs. 1,54,999,256 for the savings model, Rs. 1,64,999,512 for deposit and Rs. 1,84,999 for the 1 TB storage option. The base model of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 with 256GB storage costs Rs. 99,999 in India, while the 512GB storage model costs Rs. 1 09,999.

First Galaxy Z Fold 5 update improves security

Furthermore, we discovered that Samsung only included a fresher security patch in the initial software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The July 2023 security patch is already installed on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 out of the box, and the August patch will be applied with the first update.

Nothing else is included in the update, which is a bit disappointing because we had hoped to see changes for some of the Z Fold 5's performance difficulties. One of those problems is that occasionally, for no apparent reason, the screen's refresh rate tends to fall below 120Hz, and the phone takes too long to process some photographs after they have been taken, which is something we also experienced on the Galaxy.
